Switch Setup:
-
- From the home page of VCSA in the menu on the left side, Select the globe.
-
- Right click "DCO Datastore"
- Hover over "Distributed Switch"
- Click "New Distributed Switch..."
-
- Name: Infrastructure Distributed Switch
- Click: Next
-
- Select Version "7.0.3 - ESXi 7.0.3 and later"
- Click Next
-
- Number of uplinks: 4
- Network I/O Control: Enabled
- Default port group: Not Selected
- Click Next
-
Check configuration
- Click Finish
-
Complete steps 1 through 2 again.

- Name: Tools Distributed Switch
- Click Next
-
- Select Version "7.0.3 - ESXi 7.0.3 and later"
- Click Next
-
- Number of uplinks: 4
- Network I/O Control: Enabled
- Default port group: Not Selected
- Click Next
-
Check configuration
- Click Next Port Group Setup:
-
- From the menu on the left right click "Infrastructure Distributed Switch"
- Hover over "Distributed Port Group"
- Select "New Distributed Port Group..."
-
This step will be completed for each VLAN you have except "Tools"
- Domain ID: 3
- VCSA Management ID: 5
- ESXi Management ID: 10
- ESXi vMotion ID: 11
- ESXi Provisioning ID: 12
- Tool Web Interface ID: 25
- Workstations ID: 30
- Test ID: 40
- Trunk ID: 666

Follow step 1 but on the "Tools Distributed Switch"

Name and Location:
- Name: Tools
- Click Next
-
Configure settings:
- Port Binding: Static Binding
- Port allocation: Elastic
- Number of ports: 8
- Network resource pool: (default)
- VLAN type: None
- VLAN ID: 20
-
Confirm configuration
- Click Finish Adding Host:
-
- In the menu on the left, right click "Infrastructure Distributed Switch"
- Click " Add and Manage Hosts..."
-
- Select "Add hosts"
- Click Next
-
- Select ESXi host
- Click Next
-
- vmnic1: Uplink1
-
Click Next
-
Click Next
-
Confirm Configuration
- Click Finish Removing Temporary Port Groups:
-
- Click Host in the top right menu
-
- Right Click "DC"
- Click "Edit Settings"
-
- Click "Domain"
- Click "Browse ..."
-
- Click "Domain" with "Infrastructure Distributed Switch"
- Click "OK"

Click "OK"

Complete Step 2 for "VCSA"

- Click "VCSA Management"
- Click "Browse"

- Click "VCSA Management" with "Infrastructure Distributed Switch"

Click "OK" Deleting Temporary Port Groups:

Return to ESXi (10.2.10.30)

- In the menu on the left click "Networking"
-
- Right Click The standard port groups:
- Domain
- VCSA Management
- VM Network
- Click "Remove"
